    HI SHOPPERS!

Today we have been looking at the new media phenomenon taking over cyberspace – Cela Magazine. This magazine that has recently been published for the first time in 2011, is the first magazine of its kind in the world. CelaMag combines an arty magazine theme that promotes new artists, photographers and artists as well as being an online store.

The magazine has a very arty, fashion themed style and is very easy to use. They have several different photoshoots inside showing elegant, glamorous shots of models posing in exotic destinations along the coast of the south of France. The stunning photography captures Monaco, Cannes and St. Tropez perfectly, and in doing so sets the tone for this magazine. This is a magazine that promotes up and coming high end photographers, designers, and artists.

The other side of this incredible magazine is purely business driven. You can buy a range of products from the site directly such as shirts, art prints and hats. These products are at the very highest end of the fashion and art market and are all extremely stylish and fashionable. The dual feature of this magazine makes it stand out from the media crowd completely – and we think that celamag has set the tone for the way media is to go in the future…

    London Fashion Week

By Billy the Ant the 16 February 2010

    Feb

London Fashion week is about to start again, a window in to the wonderful world of fashion and glitz and the place where fashionistas go to be the first to get their hands on next season’s look. It will be taking place between the 19th and 24th of February, with a special day on the 24th for menswear. London Fashion Week is a bi-annual event which this February will be showcasing on the catwalk the Autumn/Winter collection 2010.

This London Fashion Week will however be a bit different as it is the first time that the events will be available for all to watch via live stream. LFWs “Digital Schedule” will allow London designers to stream their shows live at www.londonfashionweek.co.uk/digitalschedule.

London Fashion Week is an unrivalled opportunity for designers to present their latest collections. There will be 68 designers in all on the catwalk, including both new comers such as Christopher Kane and Richard Nicoll as well as the old favourite iconic British designers like Vivienne Westwood, Paul Smith and Betty Jackson. There will also be 29 designers showcasing their collections as part of the dedicated presentation schedule and feature salon-style shows by designers such as Mulberry.

We have decided to join in with all the catwalk fun here at letsbuyit.co.uk and suggest a few designer clothes for you from some of the designers featured at LFW.

We’ve already seen some of the best from Sass & Bide, Mark Fast, John Rocha, Matthew Williamson, Vivienne Westwood and the list goes on and on!! The looks are stunning, but you’re probably wondering how I can get that look without spending a fortune? Lucky for you, Jimmy Choo is here to give you your fashion fix AND it won’t empty your wallet.

On November 14, Jimmy Choo will launch his line (including both shoes and garments) for H&M making the world of high-fashion accessible to everyone. We’ve already seen such lines and their enormous success from Karl Lagerfeld, Madonna and Matthew Williamson. I’d advise you to be first in line as items are sure to sell out quickly.

British Celebs Try Their Hand In The World of Fashion!

By Billy the Ant the 13 August 2009

    Aug

We always see them looking glamorous on the telly, now they’re creating fashion that we too can wear! Check out what some of Britain’s most loved celebrities have been up to lately:

Emma Watson: The 19 year old Harry Potter star is in talks with the fair-trade company People Tree to launch an ethical clothing line targeted towards teens later this year. She has said she wants the line to have a “casual rock feel” and is planning a photo shoot this month with model Tafari Hinds.

Victoria Beckham: She started out as a member of the Spice Girls, then was a fashion model, and now she is a fashion designer (most notably for her jeans line). Posh, will present her Spring 2010 line during New York Fashion week in September.

Lily Allen: She already has a successful singing career, a fashion line and now she is adding a jewellery collection to the mix. The starlet is currently working on a jewellery collection consisting of nine different ranges, designed for women and girls between the ages of 14 to 40.

Kate Moss: As a model Kate has been exposed to top fashion most of her life, so it’s understandable that she herself would make her way into fashion design. She has been creating a line for Top Shop for the last few years.

    The Bicycle Messenger Look

By Billy the Ant the 10 March 2009

    Mar

The sports fashion for 2009 is the look of the bicycle messenger – a trend predicted by Arte TV. They are urban heroes: fast, super-fit, racing through the packed streets of a big city, riding a bicycle without gears and breaks, no matter what weather it is…

What does a typical bike messenger look like?

    • - click shoes, shorts and t-shirt
    • - sun-tanned face, tattoes all over the legs and arms
    • - water-proof messenger bag (truck-canvas) slung over the back
    • - walkie-talkie clipped on the bag strap on shoulder-height
    • - sunnies and racer cap

Bike messengers are so stylish that their look has become its own fashion! Each piece of their clothing and equipment is extremely tough as it has to resist the most enduring conditions on a daily basis.

Apparently there are already more “fakengers” (people who just copy the look) in London than there are real ones. You want to toughen up your life? Then this is the way to go. You might want to start with the most impotant part of the look: the messenger bag!

Now that digital documents have replaced paper and exchanging photos, videos or music have become daily activities, carrying a flash drive with you at all times is clearly necessary.

Unfortunately most standard models are likely to get lost in the shuffle of your desk and drawers because of how plain and boring they are. Choosing instead one of these unique and fun designs can make all the difference:

For those of you who want to express your style and originality but don’t have time to spend 5 years in design school or 3 years studying couture, opt for the new solution…customization on the Web!

Now you can customize the look of your sneakers to your tastes online:
The renowned and already successful Nike ID recently revamped its site design with new and simpler functionality. Puma has done the same with their, Mymongolianshoebbq, making it much more practical in use. Converse provides similar features on their site at converse.com.

Interested in customizing your gift and candies? Try the site Mymms.fr that lets you personalize your chocolates: personalize with colors and messages!

It may cost a bit more to be original, but the prices at these sites are far from outrageous!

And if Nike starts specializing in sneakers for giant insects, check out the new shoes we have designed for Billy :

Fashion Blogs – the independent fashion scene

By Emmanuel the 21 February 2008

    Feb

Fashion still stands for a significant part of the revenue for online retailers, who endeavour to develop and improve their ways of presenting and marketing their products online. Merchants and developers are getting very creative as you can see with the 3D retail space modulation of Kinset Technologies, the connection of billboards to the internet through QR codes or the currently developed Bluetooth Billboards by Ströer and many more.

Reviews and ratings, despite the latest developments at eBay, however are an increasingly important factor for increasing the online sales. These reviews however need to be independent and unbiased and written by real shoppers, e.g. Reevoos. The article “Stilbildung im Internet” or “Stylecreation in the Internet” published at the FAZ is a very interesting article describing how the true fashion scene is commenting and blogging about fashion independently: Fashion as seen on the streets and not sold by retailers seems to be the latest trend of independent fashion critics.

    Check out the most famous blogs about fashion: thesartorialist.blogspot.com, facehunter.blogspot.com, shoeblogs.com, styleclicker.net, glamcanyon.blogspot.com, gofugyourself.com, www.slow-wear.de.
