It’s that time again for the Ant Product of the Month, and let me tell you, I can barely contain my excitement (which you will soon understand is also riddled with face-melting fear).

What a wonderous (for you) yet hideously creepy (for me) idea! At letsbuyit.co.uk, on one of our shops, Firebox is allowing you to get your hands on the Vodkalix, Tequilalix and Antilix lollipops, your favourite candies with original flavours of Vodka, Tequila and Peppermint, with a twist…they are embedded with insects! (Eek!)

The Vodkalix Vodka-flavoured lolly is home to the Chinese scorpion, bred on scorpion farms specifically for human consumption and heat-treated to ensure the scorpions are completely sterile, poison-free and safe to eat. We at Letsbuyit.co.uk are intrigued and enthralled by the idea we can get our hands on and gobble down a real life scorpion!

And what about the Tequilalix Tequila-flavoured lolly! Real, specially bred worms live in these lollies to give you the authentic tequila experience! We are really spoilt for choice with scorpions, worms and even ants (Yikes!) galore…

The ants embedded in the delectable Antilix peppermint-flavoured lollipop are farm bred Polyrachis black ants and are bred for their spicy, peppery taste similar to that of chilli peppers. We think this lolly may well be our favourite and are eager to get our hands on one!

Yes, a month has already passed and it is once again time of the ANT PRODUCT OF THE MONTH!!! As always I have scoured the internet searching for the most interesting ant related products.

This month, I have chosen chocolate covered ants! These chocolates are made from Queen Leafcutter ants dipped in the finest Belgian chocolate making them incredibly delicious!

Each ant has been hand toasted by local tribesmen giving them an extra crunch and flavour. They are said to even contain energy-boosting abilities!!

This month, for the “Ant Product of the Month” I’ve decided to feature one of my favourite films, The Ant Bully.

The Ant Bully is a great children’s film, featuring the voices of respected actors such as: Meryl Streep, Nicolas Cage and Julia Roberts. It is the story of a small boy, Lucas, who is constantly teased by the neighbourhood bully. He takes out his aggression by constantly tormenting a colony of ants. Fed up with the random attacks the ant wizard, Zok (Nicolas Cage) creates a potion to shrink Lucas to the size of an ant. He is then forced to live amongst the ants and learn their ways in order to survive giving him a whole new perspective.

Wow, talk about some powerful ants!!

Yes it’s again time for the ANT PRODUCT OF THE MONTH!! Woo Hoo!

Do you remember how much fun it was to have an ant farm as a kid? Now you can have one once again but this time without all the mess! Nature meets the virtual world with the Bandai Ants Life Studio!

It’s a bit similar to a Tamagotchi in that you must take care of your ants to keep them alive. You can interact with them by feeding them to help them survive and build their nest, but be careful not to shake them of they will wind up stunned and confused!

As an ant that is a fan of technology this product is a dream come true!

The ant watch by Seahope is a definite fashion statement (although it takes a bit of practice to become accustomed to). The watch display is covered in what seems to be a random pattern of ants which light up green, red or orange depending on the current time. Be prepared to refresh your basic math skills while deciphering the time!
